I ain’t going to lie to you, I have burnt rice. I’ve also made a pot of gelatinous mush that can best be used to hang wall paper; it happens to the best and the rest of us. . That was the case until I learned a full proof method along the way.
Your Ratio is 1:2.
Rice:Water.
A Pinch of Salt. Place everything .a saucepan with a lid. Put the pan on the burner, covered and turn to high heat. Once steam begins to escape from the lid, turn the heat to the lowest setting and start a timer for 22 minutes. Turn off and leave covered for 5 minutes, then fluff with a carving fork. Let sit uncovered a couple of minutes.
I like to use Jasmine Rice. It cooks wonderfully and tastes great. What’s not to love?
