Tonight Was A 30 Minute Meal, And We Loved It!
With all the prep work for this weekend’s bakesale, I wasn’t really honed in on dinner. Earlier in the week, I had purchased several InstantPot starters from Williams-Sonoma. After sampling two of these starters in store, I was sold.
I took home two Pumpkin Chili, one Tortilla Soup, and one Lentil Soup. With the success of the lentil and pumpkin starters, I’m anxious and excited to try the tortilla!
As I normally deviate from the recipe, what comes next should be no surprise. I sautéed 1 Onion and 3 Cloves of Garlic (minced) in 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil. As this sautéed, I cubed off 2 Sirloin Steaks and added them to the mixture to brown. Once the meat is sufficiently browned, I crumbled in 1 Pound of Lean Ground Beef. And for a minute, we go back to the regularly scheduled program.
Follow the directions on the back of the canister after this. The only other change I made to the recipe was cooking the chili for 15 Minutes instead of 8 Minutes.
It was delicious and very well flavored. We served it with some Grands Biscuits. Yeah that’s right, I wasn’t making biscuits from scratch today! I should probably feel some shame in that, but I don’t.
For dessert, Carter baked off some of my Fleur de Sel-Chocolate Chip Cookies from last Christmas’s 25 Days of Cookies, it was #1.
